    Epitome Development Update – Community Briefing

    Greetings, Community,

    We hope you enjoyed the recent preview of the new M2 map. To ensure our progress remains clear and transparent, we have organized today’s update into three distinct categories.

    Additionally, we have officially launched 15 community votes in the ⁠📊・ᴠᴏᴛᴇꜱ channel. We want you to have a real impact on the direction of Epitome, and we invite you to actively participate and engage in discussions. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us.

    As a reminder, we are a community-driven project, and your voice truly matters. We would love your input on several decisions we are still finalizing. Unless a very strong argument arises, the results of these votes will be considered final.
    Systems in Progress


    Mount System
    We are developing a mount-based travel system. One key discussion point is whether players should be able to engage in combat while mounted. A dedicated vote has been created for this topic, and we look forward to your input.

    Leaderboard System
    A core feature of MMORPGs, we are designing a comprehensive ranking system. Our goal is to provide multiple ways for players to compete and stand out in their respective categories.

    Teleportation (Shrines)
    To use fast travel across the world, players will need to discover and unlock Shrines scattered throughout the maps.

    Anti-Spawnkill System
    We are implementing a safety window after death, allowing players to reposition and heal before re-engaging in combat.
    Long-Term Development


    Guild System
    While the foundation is already in place, our vision for the Guild System is highly ambitious. We are building a large-scale system with unique content, which requires significant development time, analysis, and balancing. A vote has also been added regarding guild mechanics to align with your expectations.

    Mob Behavior Improvements
    Improving enemy AI remains a core focus and will continue to evolve as we refine combat interactions.

    Combat Feeling
    We are continuously improving combat feedback to ensure that every encounter feels smooth, responsive, and impactful.

    New Map (M2)
    The recent preview was the final “leak” for this map. The team is now fully focused on building the M2 ecosystem, including new monsters, mini-bosses, and bosses.

    M1 Updates
    We are finalizing the last improvements and fixes for M1. Once completed, the entire team will shift focus to expanding M2.
    Nearing Completion


    Spiritual Guide System
    The AI guide’s technical infrastructure is nearly complete. We are currently finalizing the user interface (UI).

    Project Roadmap
    The roadmap content is complete. We are now working on visual presentation and graphic assets before sharing it with you.

    Dungeon Overhaul
    The core system is finished and has entered a rigorous testing phase for stability and balance.

    Web ItemShop
    We are prioritizing the ability for players to purchase game access, as requested by many of you. Payment systems are being finalized, along with security testing.

    Streamer Mode & Privacy
    This system is functionally complete and currently undergoing final testing.

    Discord RPC
    Integration is complete and in the final testing phase before deployment.

    Looting System Improvements
    We have reworked how player-dropped items are handled. These items can now be picked up instantly, and their ground despawn time has been significantly reduced to improve performance and maintain a clean environment.
